    hello all.

    im going to be ordering a 2012+ plate bumper relatively soon and im just trying to get some last minute random questions answered.

    for those of you whose bumpers have seen some/any sort of abuse, would you recommend powder coating or spray paint/bed liner?

    i dont plan to abuse my truck, but i am buying a plate bumper for its intended purpose of protection, not just for looks.

    i dont have much experience with powder coat. just how strong is it? i know its much stronger than your run-of-the-mill rattle can paint, but spray paint is alot easier to touch up when damage does happen. i dont think much of any coating is going to handle the weight of a truck dropping down on a rock, but will powder coat hold up to minor hits on rocks, trees, ect? what about everyday damage like rocks being thrown from other vehicles tires? ( i live in colorado, so rock chips happen pretty frequently)

    basically, i just dont want to essentially throw out $200 if its not going to hold up.
