    Which engine would you rather have, the stock 4.0l or the supercharged 3.4l. Just am curious to see which one you would rather have in a truck.

    4.o....... more potential. 236hp stock, add headers x-1, exhaust and tune and you will be around 260...... THEN add the s/c later and you will blow the s/c'd 3.4 away.

    4.0 s/c @ 305rwhp with no supporting mods.

    but the op has a 1st gen and it would be so much easier to do the mods to the 3.4 that is in the truck already than fabricating all the mounts, new transmission, new t-case, all the wiring, new computers and all that jazz. and you can still make sick power off the 3.4
