Would a 3.4 catback fit a 2.7 ?

I think the points where the cat back connects to the midpipe is different. I think the v6 mid pipe that has the cats is longer than the 2.7 and positioned a little differently and sets everything back for connecting. You could probably do it if you welded some tubing in between the rear exhaust and mid pipe.
