I saw that pb2themax used a wrap on his y-pipe. I'm not sure about the brand.

no on the feel a difference part, all it really is to help keep the life of the pipes longer. also keep it from getting too hot and rusting. yes its a good upgrade, question is though do you really need it in the kind of climate u live in?

I haven't done wrap on a truck- On a motorcycle iit was a decent mod- but it was a highly modified bike.

You won't feel a thing- but you truck will notice the temperature difference.

I saw & read this as well. PB's rig was 4x4.(correct?).The y-pipe after removing the back cats, fit close to the transfer case.To protect that he wraped the pipe.Went to "any" auto store. It was simply a heat thing. Not a performence thing.

Question

Inteteresting...

Any info on how much heat can be transmitted from the URD Y-pipe to the transfer case?

Has anyone running it had problems with out the raps?

Maybe some Signs & symptoms to look out for...

Im a big user of that wrap stuff. I like how it keeps the heat in the exhaust. On my 4x4's, my exhaust gets caked in mud before I get a chance to put it on, so I just leave the mud on. On my 2x4, I will be installing it as soon as I make an exhaust.
