Whats best to do performance wise?

iam fairly new at modifying a car since this is my first truck. i wanted to know does installing exhaust early make a big differance performance wise or does it just make noise? iam all about adding stuff to my truck that i will use and not just for looks.... any other performance things i should consider? intakes? chips?

Best bang for buck is befinetly the supercharger. You can get Doug Thorley Long Tube headers, a CAI and the MAF calibrator for under a grand and be pretty happy but do not expect much!

Instead of going with the TRD supercharger I would say go balls out with the URD

afe stage 2 si was 350, long tubes were 425(bought them on here used tho), maf was 250 and then had it tuned was like 125(sdhq offroad) and my exhaust was 500 so $1,150.00. i'm on my second intake tho and am about to change my exhaust

 

not bad i thought it would be more... i was looking at the URDs is there a differance i see those are more expensive so i assume they are better

A off road y-pipe is one of your best choices for first mod. That or a cold air intake (CAI) I just added a k&N filter because the stock intake is technically a cold air intake since it draws from the fender well. It's just the factory intake tube is a little kinked/restrictive. I have put a off-road y-pipe on every car I've had. It's the best way to get guaranteed power; at least 8+ horsepower. It added 18 to my last mustang according to the dyno. I'm putting one on mine as soon as it get's here tomorrow or friday. I've already put a flowmaster on it.

 

I actually believe the K&N was the first mistake
