No syn, I should have put, which syn oil do you recommend because i'll likely be going that route unless someone tells me it'll be bad in the long run.

I like Valvoline and the K&N Oil Filter.. since the filter has the 1" nut on the end it make it UBER easy to take on and off..

I hear amsoil helps the engine run at a lower temperature...Can anyone verify?

i used to run valvoline max-life. it has additives that helps recondition seals and reduce sludge. i recently switched over to penzoil high mileage, which does the same thing.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
^^that^^ I also like Purolator or Wix
It made my 98 3RZ run smoother and quiter. I cannot verify the cooler part though. I also used Wix filters.

New Dakota A/T tires in 31x10.50-15", 2 coat Rhino Liner on the the bed, Mossy Oak package interior, 8" bazooka system pumping my jams, Platinum system plugs underneath the hood with Gates belts keeping it turning, 6" deckplate mod and amsoil is keeping this thing lubed year around.
I am running Amsoil 10w30 on my yota (170,000) and ever since I first used Amsoil it runs cooler...less friction means cooler oil.

I was a die hard Castrol GTX fan up until recently. Switched over to Pennzoil Platinum due to the rave reviews it gets on bitog and I'm now on the synthetic bandwagon.
Longer OCI, great cleaning properties, better cold weather starts, and not expensive (~$20/5qt jug @ Wal-Mart).

As far as the oil filter goes, I'm a big fan on the Toyota OEM. Other than those I'd pick Purolator PureONE or NAPA Gold.
