Instrument Panel Bezel Removal Help

    ARB Bumper, K&N 63-series Aircharger Intake, Toytec 3" Lift, Total Chaos Fabrication Upper Control Arm System, engine block heater, Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator, hose clamp tailgate security
    I am installing the Hypertech In-Line Speedometer Calibrator and I was opening the dash to plug it in. It should be an easy install and it was until there were two screws above the tach and speedometer that I was not able to get unscrewed. I was using the proper size screwdriver and I was able to see the screw head rotate (it isn't stripped). Are there any tips or tricks it getting these off to get behind the instrument panel?

    Twist them and apply a little downward pressure as you twist. That's all... You take the screws out and then the clips that they screwed in to. Then make sure to take out the 10mm bolt out at the kick panel.

    So the screws have been turning freely and I still haven't been able to unscrew them. I asked a mechanic about it and he couldn't unscrew them either. What are some solutions about getting those out? I don't want to drill them if possible.

    you could try and get underneath the little black clip and push it out? Because how they are held in there is that you put a clip in the hole and then screw into it...

    completely stock

    i used a little side force pressure to unscrew them. they probably arent stripped just a PITA to take out. in the newer tacomas they are now a typical pop clip.
