    Trd exhaust KN cold air
Just bought a 2011 tacoma, double cab 4x4 and short bed.
should I go with new muffler or a cat back exhaust? im thinking trd exhaust but not to sure. Just got my new KN cold air in but need the other end. Just need a little noise and a few HP will not hurt. thanks

I have a 09 DC OR. I put the TRD CAI and cat back. Sounds awesome when you get on it but isn't annoying the rest of the time. I'm in SoCal if u wanna check it out.

I agree with 00taco on this. I suggest the aero turbine 2525 with custom exhaust. Also the Super Turbo Dynomax muffler i hear is quite good. BUt doing that is a lot cheaper and can sound and look really good if you do it right.
Also what kind of sound are you looking for?

get some M/T tires if you want it to be louder, the v6 sounds stupid with a aftermarket exhaust on it

I just put the TRD catback on mine. So far I really like the sound. Aggressive on acceleration, but once the speed levels off it's pretty quiet. Haven't tried it on the hwy yet so don't know if it drones.

it will NOT sound like a throaty v8 just so you now. it wont even sound like a throaty v6. i would shoot for a deep european sound if were to do it again. something different and wouldnt sound like crap.
