k&n intake opinions?

looking into a new intake what is a good one the k and n or is there something else as good for less.

 

Do the deckplate mod and keep your stock filter in. Same as the K&N with better filtration and a lot more $$$ in your pocket.

 

Yeah deck plate is a good mod. however, if you are set on getting a CAI, AFE makes some good ones. My recomendation would be AFE pro dry CAI stageII. and the other option would be to get a AFE drop in filter for ur tacoma and just go from there. K&N ive heard can actually cause you to lose HP in some cases. So best bet would be either AFE CAI or deck plate mod

deck plate mod worked great i had a deckplste in my shed from my catamaran and i did the mod intake rumbles and i can feel the difference thanks guys i work 7 days a week yet i still find time to do a different mod on my truck this site rocks

i think u should go with an aem brute force intake. it works great and it looks alot better under the hood then some cheap plastic

 

ok i just put a k&n intake in on my 06 and its deffinatly one of the best things i bought power right at ur feet and sounds great
