Nice! I will be the guy in the White Tacoma going slow over the grade in to Needles, getting less than 20mph.[/QUOTE]

Haha, I try to keep it between 70 and 80mph depending on what Hwy I am on, I dont come through Needles, I come from the Parker side a little quicker from where I live...and i will just have to see what my mileage ends up to be, i know what i want, but dont we all..:D

Thanks guys, glad my thread is slightly entertaining...more to come soon, vids and stuff.

Update: I hooked up my OBDII plug to scan for problems since my truck uses a LOT of fuel, found it had a Cam sensor code, turns out I cut off the pigtail and tosses it in the trash and its gone, I cut it off thinking it was for something else, oops.

I had to go to the slavage yard and find another connector to solder in and fixed it so now I have all my sensors working properly with no CEL so my mileage should be about 40% better than before..

I went to Dinseyland last week, and I got about 16mpg so I should be able to do the same trip now getting about 25mpg or so..

Yeah, yeah, I will get some pics up....was just waiting until I detailed the truck so it looks done, havent done that yet and its going to rain this weekend, so we will see.....

Why not be like 99% of the Camaros out there and go Cam only? (which means cam, bolt ons, and spray) I don't like boosting LS motors too much because they have pretty high cr. I do like seeing HCI on LS1s, there are several around here making right at 500 to the wheels with a good HCI combination. Add some gas and you could look like those icelandic hill climbers.

Thats probably the route I will take is a good set of heads and a cam, but good heads are about $2300 ouch! Then a cam and springs and rocker bearing upgrade and I should be good to go..

Icelandic hillclimber, lol, saw those guys on TV I cannot believe the stuff they try the stuff looks absolutely impossible and most of the time it is, but they throw all caution to the wind and go for it anyway..

Sorry about the updates guys, have been working 11 hour days the past 2 weeks, now off to Ocotillo wells to ride my 450 for a couple of days for a little time off, next week I think I will have the time to give a thorough update with pics and some vids so you can see the finished (Almost anyway) product and how it sounds and of course a vid on me accelerating through a couple of gears so you can see just how much of a monster this thing really is, I love my truck so much!! Talk about sleeper.

Not quite refined yet, needs more wiring cleaning, a custom aluminum cold air intake, need to make my speedo work, or just possibley make a custom gauge cluster with Autometer gauges in the stock cluster housing..

But its working very well and I am pretty sure I can get 30mpg if I dont drive like a dick...:p, haha good luck to me on that one, lol.

It fits almostlike it belongs there, its a little tight in the front between the radiator and the intake, but I made it work for now, I am surely going to refine things in the near future, but making it work and run perfectly was the 1st on the list, now on to the details, I will keep you guys posted.

I am planning on going Forced induction as well somewhere down the road, yeah, I'm that guy...:p

Thanks for all the compliments guys, much appreciated.
