With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

there is no such thing as free hoprsepower or cheap HP
most auto manufactures have already have the cheap hp gain tricks

years ago in the JC witney catalog they would sell a carb fan supercharger. was a nice way to make money, did nothing but noise

and then look how a super charger ( puffer) works

ran off of engine speed for the boost, so faster revs=more boost

now that puts out 30 sec max of boost, so no way to control the pressure

and not the best way to do it

just my 2 cents worth

To add, not only would the alternator be drawing more power from the engine ( to power this stupid thing), but being as it needs 75 amps, and the stock alt puts out about 80, or so depending on model truck, the truck sucks about 15 amps just to run its basic systems (Or more), so.....not only is it going to increase drag on the engine from the alternator trying to give power to run it, but the remaining power is going to come from the battery. In short.....X2 with Phantom.

The electricity required is not whats important here. The physics of an axial fan design makes it impossible of creating pressure. Yes they can move air in an open environment, but cannot make pressure. Any axial fan type super/turbo charger is a scam. The only real electric supercharger is the Thomas Knight system. These are quite literally a super charger housing powered by electric motors. these are not cheap though.

Northern Tool sells a MUCH cheaper electric supercharger, but it's universal.

I like this one much better, it is good for 240mph. All you need is an inverter for power, flip the switch and hang on............

Several years ago Thomas Knight was working on a real electric supercharger. It was a roots type with 3 motors on it. The major problem was supplying the motors with the energy they need to work. They filled the truck of a 95ish Altima with batteries and ran the blower on it. I think they went from an 18 second 1/4 mile to a 15 before blowing the head gasket on the engine. They still make electric superchargers which looks like turbos with a motor on the back end and they make belt driven turbos(centrifugal superchargers).
