i want more performance but not sure what to get

whats this maf cal thing is it easy to do i want as much hp as i can get out of my truck

For less than 600 shipped, you will be able to plug this in and take advantage of easy gains due to leaning out Air fuel mixture. Up to you, but I rather plug, than solder, and be able to remove easily in future if need be. Plus if you have proper scan tools, you can tune it in for your exact applications... Always a plus.

 

Dang... I just went to the site, I've seen that before. I really prefer underdrive rather than light weight. If your pulley is smaller, it takes less revolutions for motor to spin up the RPM. Weight is a factor, but to me not as much as diameter.

 

ouch so this might not be a good thing?? i know the reviews on the urd pulley werent that good at all... for some reason i thought the non stop tuning one was the same size in diameter but half the weight, guess not

 

Yeah I ran a smaller crank pulley, changed the belt, and noticed drastic increase in acceleration with my 4 banger. Alternator takes a slight hit, but not so much to impede needed charging.

Think of this theory, and I've done it on highway racing as a dumb ass yungin... Take your power steering belt off. Less dragg on the pulley system. Awesome for 1/4 mile trap speed times, but damn does it buid up your arms on the way home, LOL. On the other hand it really helped keep car under control at speeds of 100mph +... Sorry to post but just sharing experience, not condoning stupidity.

 

thanks for the info!! so im guessing that this pulley would be good for a truck thats not a daily driver and mostly only runs on the track. i drive my truck alot so i dont wanna put more strain on it

 

Yeah, its kind of give and take. If your truck is your daily driver, you mite want to rethink. I just hit 4000 miles on my baby. Not gunna put any high miles after my upcoming trip, And then storage she goes. But if you treat her right, even with a pulley, you'll be ok. Just avoid 5-7 passes on the track every weekend, LOL...
