Dyno'ed my Taco

The local car board I'm on had a dyno day, so I put my taco on the rollers. It did better than I was expecting. I was thinking it would put down around 100-110 given that I'm at 5500 ft elevation. However, I put down 132.93 HP and 154.56 ft-lb. I'm running an AFE drop-in and secondary filter delete. These trucks run lean as hell though. It was at ~15:1 from 2k-5k. I'll post up the dyno sheet as soon as I can get it scanned.

How much would they charge you to make a pull, say after you make some mods to your truck? I'll have to make some calls i'd like to make a pull before I remove my second set of cats and install a different muffler.

The place I went to charges $80 for 3 pulls. This was a group event so we got 2 pulls for $40. Dyno charges vary quite a bit though.

That was on a 2.7 4 banger. Considering the stock 3.4 V6 on the same dyno did about 150, I think the numbers I got were quite good.

Yeah looking at it that way is impressive. How much did the s/c cost? I am still adjusting to making adequate power with V6 engines and forigen vehicles. I'm used to Big block chevys

I cant remember how much it was. Man, that was 8 years ago.....I think it was about $1500.00 for everything. Had to get parts from a few different supplyers as there wasnt a "Kit" supercharger for the 2.7 motor at the time. Chevy motors are easy to get power out of. Toyota engines are well designed cfrom the factory, and tough as tanks. The only real issue is managing the electronics.

Thats what I have been noticing about our trucks, their already tuned. Nice but leaves little for us to tinker with in that department, not that there isn't plenty of other things for us to do. $1500 wasn't bad, I was expecting closer to 3.
