What Intake/Exhaust to choose?

Just got my headers in today!! What Intake/Exhaust setup should i go with now?? I'm thinking TRD intake with maybe magnaflow or flowmaster duals? Any advice??

 

Doug thorley shortys. Is AFE any good? I've heard about volant and the TRD intakes a bit.

 

have you looked at the urd true cold air intake?

 

Not as much as i should have. i was thinking about getting the MAF calibrator eventually tho. Do you have the URD intake?

 

If you're going to go snorkel at some point, just get an AFE filter.

If not, TRD CAI.

TRD muffler sounds the best IMO, but you have to buy the whole catback, which is a bit more pricey.

 

I just hacked my TRD catback over the axle.

 

Why's that? Does it actually go into the wheelwell?

Not planning on ever getting a snorkel. I was looking at maybe getting the TRD exhaust too even tho i want a dual exhaust. I'm up in the air about it all really. I don't know if there's gonna be much of a performance difference in in any of the catback exhausts, but i could be wrong

 

yea i just checked that out on their website, looks pretty nice. Wish i could find some pics of installed.

That's a deal right there, but idk if that would be too loud at highway speeds. I'm still looking for a sound clip of it, didn't see it in the compilation thread.

 

sweet, you should post it to the compilation thread too. It's a great thread, but i don't think it does a lot of the exhausts proper justice.

 

It routes the intake up to behind the grille, so its getting the coldest air possible. I actually do have the snorkel, just havent gotten a chance to install it. I didnt like it at first then the idea started growing on me so i got one in the group buy. actually gives you better gas mileage, plus for offroading it keeps dust and water from coming in the stock intake

 

The main clearance issue is the crosspipe up front...any muffler will give you plenty of clearance back where the muffler usually sits.
