which flowmaster

hi everyone. i just got a 2005 tacoma and im wondering what kind of muffler to put on it so it can have a nice rumble but not too loud in the cab.

go with the 40...unless u want somthing extremly quiet like the 50 series it is just slightly louder than stock..and its higher pitched than the 40

Just received a pm from a member telling me that he went with the 40 Flowmaster and LOVED the sound....but...after a short period of time the cabin noise was just too much and he would be going back to stock.

I have "heard" read that many Taco owners enjoy the TRD exhaust.

I have an 05 Tacoma PreRunner with the 4 cyl. and can't decide which way to go...TRD or stay with the stock setup.

go with the flowmaster 40 series. the interior resonance isnt that bad...its actually pretty nice to hear, as far as im concerned. here is a clip of the 06 tacoma i had with the flow 40........

I'm having the 40 installed monday. I had it on my ranger and it was great, my ranger sounded better than my friends 1500 and my uncles f250. Now isn't the sound why we really get exhaust? If it's too loud then just crank up the tunes man. Flowmaster is the way to go.

i had a flowmaster 40 on my 02' 4Runner and it was way too loud in the cab...but who knows, some people might like that. if i ever put another one on my taco id probably go with the 50 series.

the 50 series aint too bad, but its not really loud enough for me. just my opinion tho.

i have super 40's on my truck and they sound great i also have the pipe turned down before the rear axle, try that for a nice sound off the pavement

I have an 06 tacoma v6 and i have the jba catback on it. I really do not like the tone of the muffler and was wondering if it is possible to use the jba pipeing with a flowmaster muffler or wouldn't that work.

yep...it'll work. what ever flowmaster muffler you get, get and exhaust shop to cut out or unbolt the other muffler and install the flowmaster. get them to weld it in...........clamps arent that great. but yeah, it'll fit fine, just try to get one with close to the same size piping so they can sleeve it easily.

and when you sell the jba....let me know first.
