Electric fans??

Is it possible to find the right size of electric fan that fits the taco and will it help any? And if any of you know what is the size of the 07 tacos radiator is?

 

Thanks, does it work well enough to spend the money and how easy is it install?

Though just a general question about toyotas engines, is it the fans on them(stock) make the motors sound a little clicky? Engine runs smooth, just has a small click since day one and I hear other toyotas with that sound too

 

Thought so, think takin the fan off and goin electrical will fix some of that noise then 98tacoma?

 

Ya that's what I have heard, lookin for more miles per gallon, Im 19 lookin to spend a little to helP the truck and save some money down the road

Another option would be to use a fan adequate for the vehicle, and build a custom setup. There isnt much more work involved and you'll have as good of, if not a better setup than you could buy in the FAL kit. I do like the FAL kit and its brackets for the fan, although i do not like their controller.

I've used this particular Spal controller on a few custom off road setups before and it works flawlessly. One great advantage to is that when it kicks on, it starts at 50% power and progressively raising to 100%, depending on the low and high temperature set points you have programed into the controller. You can also wire the kit to where it will turn on the fan(s) when the A/C compressor is energized in order to keep cool air blowing even at a stand still in heavy traffic. On all of the setups I've wired, I have made a deutsch connector which acts as a jumper from the power inputs of the controller direct to the fan harness. This way in the event of a failure at the controller, you still have means of operating the fan in an always on mode. Cheap insurance and it only cost about $10 bucks.
