Im thinking about installing a Flowmaster muffler on my 08 Tacoma instead of buying a cat back system. I dont want too loud of a muffler. A friend of mine has a 40 , it sounds good ,but just too loud for me. Im thinking a 50 or even a 70 series. I really just want one alittle louder than stock.
Does anyone know the Flowmaster part number for the 50 or 70 series Flowmaster that will fit on the 08 exhaust pipe? What is the size of our exhaust pipes?

I was thinking the same thing. I went to the muffler shop and they told me to get either a 2.25 or 2.5 offset in and center out ( O/C ). Don't take that as gospel. I plan on going with the 40 delta but a lot of people seem to like the 50 series.

    im here.....i got waylaid!!!:D

you can use about whatever size inlet/outlet that you wanna use really, when you weld it ion......you'llbe bridging the gap anyway. the 2.5 inch piping works well though, so you could get one with an offset in/ center out and that will work fine. and if you dont want loud....go with the 50 series.

so to fit the '08s we need a 2.5 in/out & and offset in with a centered out?

Ok, thanks for all the input but Im still confused about which one to order. What is the flowmaster model number for a 50 series? Should I get the 2.25 size or the 2.5 size? Is it center in off set out?
    Thanks

I'm not telling you this is the one you should get but if I were to order one I would get the 2.5 in and out, offset in center out O/C. Model: 942551.

not really sure exactly sure what the model number is, but 2.5 in and out will be fine. center in/offset out will work fine too.
