Nothing wrong with lockers... but A-TRAC is like automatic lockers... you don't have to turn it off if you need to make a tight turn... now the 4WD low binding may be another issue!

In the situation where I was with other locked rigs, we were on granite (like the Rubicon trail) and lots of loose rocks, too. See the Mision Santa Maria link below... HB Murphy was one of the members of our run.

Wonder why those who don't have A-TRAC are the biggest compaliners about A-TRAC? Rarely do A-TRAC users have anything bad to say... if at all. I see praises, I am just more vocal... isn't that what a forum is for, to talk about it? Good night you hosers!

Nice! I was just curious what the part list looked like. I'm always interested to see what variations people are going with.

I really the "keep it low COG" thoughts with only 35's. That is going to be killer.

So it would seem my front springs are back from the dead. Doesnt matter though, I still want to replace them with a longer and higher spring rate so they are not so preloaded.

Hey if you can afford ARBs front and rear, more power to you. They're an amazing technology, and a fully locked truck is a beast. There's no arguing with that.

But the traction control they're referencing in that vid isn't anything close to the power of A-TRAC in the TRD ORs. Not by a long shot. It's more like TRAC, which if you've seen the vids of the guys in 4lo with the yellow wire mod, it plays out more like what you see here .. though even that seems to be better. A-TRAC is amazing in how fast & forcefully it's applied.

The point is for guys with 2009+ OR models, adding a front locker really won't give you much of anything beyond what A-TRAC on in front + e-locked in the rear already does. Certainly not for what it would cost, that is. You might lose a small amount of ability up front as opposed to a fully locked front, but you maintain total control of steering direction, and there's less risk of tearing up your front too, which is nice.

But hell if you want the ultimate, buy an SR5 and air lock the front & rear.

Also I think it is notable that in Moab I used my Ebrake to give myself a poor mans locker in the rear. More superior??

This method had gotten me out of trouble more than once.

Meh... I do not agree. More skinny pedal lands more hands in your wallet eventually.
