Please don't refer me to do research, I have searched on TW, google etc and am just looking for opinions for my truck. The apr x1 is out of my budget.

I am running a TRD CAI and JBA headers and exhaust,
want to add eiether the urd or unichip. What do you all think? What would give me the best horsepower gains and I have heard I will get an extra mpg as well . Is this true? Feedback as to why you think I should choose one over the other would be appreciated, Thanks

Unichip is complete garbage. The x-1 no longer exists plus even if you find one it doesn't work on the 09+ trucks. Your only option is the URD maf cal.

Its an 06, I heard you have to make your own maps for the urd though? Which can be difficult and or ruin the truck if you mess it up.
What would an x-1 run for for an older truck like mine? If its not that much difference then I might just spring for that. Especially if it is a good condition used one, Self tuning and all..

Gadget will send you the Maf.sensor cal. loaded with a map for your intake. The unichip does alot more stuff like adjusts timing i believe. Unless you wanna race your truck the maf. cal. is not gonna do you much good either.

Do you have to have your gears changed with the apr x1?
