    '09 TRD 4x4 O/R Supercharged
OEM TRD supercharger, OEM wheels painted black by me, yellow sidemarkers, arb bumper, LED interiors, roll-n-lock, 5% rear windows, mudflaps removed, protector alarm, mobile trace, blacked out front Toyota emblem, debadged, & tree air freshener.
I lost about 2-3 MPG over stock setup, however, I'm a 4x4 so it's expected. I like my supercharger and everything but just after one month of having it, I got kinda tired of it. It's just one of those "damn, same old shit."

I know exactly what your mean,I also drive a 2008 corvette, so i'm farely used to the power. Supercharging the tacoma is by no means a vette or any 400+ hp car, But it definitely makes a BIG difference from stock. I can do 0-60 in about 4.8 in my vette, the tacoma will do it in 6 sec or maybe a hair less. My entire truck is stock, besides the supercharger though, I plan on doing the TRD exhaust shortly so that might help. As far as reliability goes, i couldnt help you there since i've only had it on for 5 days haha. But from what i hear and from what the dealership says, it is just like a normal car and will not affect reliability at all. So if you're getting rid of your weekend warrior, Supercharging your Tacoma will DEFINITELY help ease the transition haha!

The gas mileage is really hard for my to evaluate. A lot of people say it does not affect it much at all, some people say to lose 2-3 mpg, gain 2-3 mpg. I really just dont care, gas is just like a bill to me, i just pay it and don't think much else about it! But i can say that my needle has been going down A LOT faster in the last 5 days though, but it's because i love hearing the supercharger whine! THANKS everyone, and this is definitely a mod that i recommend!

I honestly believe that my MPG isnt really affected much by the supercharger unless I am hard on the gas. My lifting and 33" tires have a greater affect I believe. Now ever since rolling over 10K and towing a trailer the last 1500 my MPG has gone up dramatically. I dont know if that is because the engine is finally loosening up or what but I am seeing an average of 17+ mpg on this current tank so I am very happy with that. That includes city and freeway, some good heavy runs and some easy on the pedle stuff. Normal driving for me. All in all I wouldnt trade my supercharger at all.
The only other thing I could want is either a turbo diesel instead or drop in a supercharged 5.7L V8... A man can dream cant he.

    TRD Supercharger 3" lowered S-Runner
    hi,

I live in Irvine and have a 2001 S-Runner that came with a TRD supercharger installed back in 2002. Now I plan to sell the S-Runner and would like to take the supercharger off and re-install to my 96 4Runner. I need a good and reliable mechanic to do this swop for me. I heard you did yours at a dealer. Would you please share which dealer install your S/C for you?
Thank you very much for your info.

Toyota of santa maria, but i think that on the older ones they're pretty much just bolt on and go. So if you already have a stock manifold you mind as well do it yourself.. The newer 05+ require a computer flash. so you're better off saving yourself some $krilla... wow this is pretty old, sorry
