Deck plate mod and Water??

How much do you guys stress about getting water in there? I was thinking about this when I was washing her today. it hasn't rained since I did my deck plate but how soon should I get out and cover it up in bad weather??

Opinions welcome? I'm thinking I'll cover it up whenever it rains or snows very much

 

I've hit some mega puddles with it open and checked it after. Never saw even a drop in there so I wouldn't worry about it

 

Getting water into your intake is never a good thing. I mean its bound to get moisture regardless, with or without the MOD but I'd probably leave it be unless it was going to take on direct water...like if you were pressure washing your engine or if it was really rainy out side and there are HUGE puddles in the road

 

I've always said I would put the plate on during rain/snow but I always forget and never had a problem. However, I am usually pretty careful about putting it on through big mud puddles when off-roading and such....

 

well considering I haven't seen a puddle around here in about 8 months, we should be good to go

 

LOL!!! Yeah.... good point I haven't had the need to put that thing on in almost a year!
