For a Truck like our Tacoma's I suggest a Super Charger due to the point that most often I want the power all through the Powerband. Turbo won't do that; it takes a certain RPM range to get your Boost.

And I have the TRD Super Charger by the way and Love it. I tow trailers with my truck quite often and find it to be such a help.

From what I read, a T4 gives positive boost at 2k rpms. If you want instant boost, a T3/T4 or even a T3 would give plenty low end boost. I don't like the SC due to the in-efficiency and lack of intercooler. Besides, the CXRacing kit is ~$1000 cheaper than a new TRD S/C.

The CX Racing kit doesn't come with fuel management, and with the power you can put out with a GT35 turbo you should definitely have more than a 7th injector setup.

I really want to find an OBDII compliant piggyback that's easy to work with...I'd consider going standalone, but I need OBDII for emissions. :(

For once some TW peeps with brains on there shoulders, well for the most part. The swap is only about 14k from the diesel guys last I checked. Still alot but to have D4D in my second gen mini would be sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last I looked jt was 20000 but I figure 10000 to mod the d4d motor and get some real power out of it

Got the URD Port Fueler and 6 extra 27lb injectors . Still need to pick up a pump and either FIC 6 or ECU 3. FIC 6 is 1/2 the price so not a hard decision...

It's funny I was just discussing this with a friend the other day when I was asked what would my next truck be? Since I would have to get a 4dr sooner or later, I was brainstorming/researching a small ball-bearing 'low' pressure (10lbs max) Turbo set-up on a 2.7L manual instead of the current 4.0L Auto... Focus on low end torque, lag is not good when you're using the truck as a 'TRUCK'... cheers
