Wink MPG difference between V4 & V6 Tacoma

I'm looking to buy '11 Tacoma with the TRD off road package.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in MPG's between the V6 and the V4 ? If so then what r those numbers..? Thanx.

The 4 cylinder in an inline 4, not a V4. MPG's depend on how you drive, some of us V6 guys are still managing 20 mpg. Some 4 cylinders are pushing mid to upper 20's depending on driving conditions, trim package, etc.

I'm sure the dealer would be glad to slap on the OR stickers and charge you more.

Guys running v6 2wd are the only ones I can see really getting in the 20's on a regular basis. Used the interweb and check out this really informative site. I'm pretty sure the web address is Toyota.com. I love how people try and compare MPG and you always have some guy with 2wd saying how great is mpg is while everyone else is getting in a tizzy because their 4wd is getting "crap" mpg compaired to 2wd boy.

I was getting 20-22 new, 126k later and bigger tires around 16-18. I have a 2wd v6 if that helps you.

I can get 20 with my old tires and only about 18 with the new tires. That is with 4wd, double cab and auto tranny.

You sure about that? I'm getting high 19's commuting in and out of the city with a V6, double cab, 4wd. I've got a shell and a decent amount of tools in the bed also. Driving conditions very much dictate MPG's, if I'm doing 75 on the highway that drops to 16-17 MPG.

Oh yeah, that too, I am a bit of a lead foot and I get 16-18 with the tires and high mileage.

I have a manual and usually am getting around 16 wtihout worring too much about mpg. If I am really good I have gotten 18.5 in mixed driving, but that is about as much fun as getting chased by a horney fat chick.

I did a short 160 mile drive this weekend consisting completely of all highway miles. I got 21.2 MPG in my 2011 V6 TRD Double cab long bed 4X4. I was constantly monitoring my RPM's and kept it right at or below 2000 RPM's running 60 to 65 MPH. I also bumped my front tire pressure up to 37 psi and left the rear at 33. Besides doing that the only other mod that has helped slightly is a drop in K&N and it helped less than 1MPG.
