I put on my DT headers on my 2010 4 cyl a couple of weeks ago and the other day I was talking to a guy who works on trucks and he recommended that I get my truck re-tuned. Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks for the link, but I didn't find the answer I was looking for. Was there something in particular you were suggesting I read? The comments about tuning are not related to headers.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I just PM'ed another guy on here I know that has the DT headers and he pointed me in the same direction. I appreciate the help.

I agree with him that you will get the most out of your headers if you get it tuned.

So I called a few places around and nobody will touch the toyota tacomas because it is all computer mapping stuff. One piece of advice that I got from an import garage that I spoke to was to contact URD and see about ordering a part that connects directly to my harness and will check the system out. Not sure exactly what he was talking about, so I have more research to do there. The other piece of advice that I got was from the service tech at a toyota dealership and he said that it doesn't need a tune-up because the check-engine light isn't on and since the truck has only 12,XXX miles the spark plugs aren't going to have any problems.

So what do you guys recommend? I PM'ed Gadget from URD yesterday and am just waiting to hear back so hopefully he can give me some insight as well. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

So you are thinking that it still needs to get the tune-up. Which sounds great if I could find a place that would do it...
