2012 V6 TRD CAI

The Toyota dealership doesn't have an answer but anybody looked at whether the 2011 TRD CAI or any other CAI will fit the 2012?

Yup. 2012 DC/LB TRD sport. I already had the TRD exhaust put on.

From the pics I've seen, I think the answer is no, since part of the TRD/AFE airbox space is now occupied by some additional emissions sh-tuff (secondary air pump, or some-such).

How do you like the exhaust? did you drive it with the stock exhaust first? how much did it cost you? I have a 2012 off road and I'm planning on getting either the TRD or a borla exhaust. Don't know about the CAI- I'm waiting until 2012 is an option on quite a few things.

Yeah I drove it about 500 miles before installing the exhaust. I like the little extra get up and go. The sound is better than stock.

I went to the Toyota Dealer and looked at the 12's and the inside are much nicer IMO, I really like the front ends also....

I decided to wait to see the 12s before I bought cause I decided on getting a new truck around July. I'm glad I waited. Between the interior and the navigation system. I paid more but I think when you get exactly the vehicle you want you are happier then getting what's there.

Slowly but surely. Its a black DC LB TRD Sport. I debadged the tailgate, blacked out the rest of the emblems, put on TRD Exhaust, and tinted all the windows at 15%. I also put w bed mat in and bolted it down with flat elevator bolts.

I'm looking at getting sliders put on. Waiting on weathertech to come out with digital fit for the 12s. Gonna tint the head and tail lights.

So that is all that is planned for the next few months.

Any idea then if the AFE drop in will fit the 2012?

Should I just order it and try it or can I get dimensions?

From the pics I've seen, the OEM intake appears to be the exact same as 05-11. The difference though is that the empty space behind where the intake tube pulls air from the fender has been taken up by another emmissions air pump. Given this I would suspect that the air filter itself is the same, it's just that many of the aftermarket intakes that used this entire space will need to re-work it.
