    most people will recommend a non oiled drop in filter i.e AFE pro dry and removal of secondary filter

    I have K&N drop in. Never had a problem with it. Filters nicely.

    Snorkeling that shit with a reusable filter (AFE, for example) will get you the best MPG by far. Everything else is pretty much noise.

    I came accross this Volant intake system on the volant website. what do you'all think? is this to much? im just trying to get the horsepower and gas milage back to the way it was before the big ass tires.

    I love my volant intake. I got it with the skewp also. It sounds great and there is some performance increase at least by seat dyno. When put it on, I cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Truck runs great.

    the filter that comes with the kit is an oiled filter like a k&nbut they also offer a dry filter that will fit that kit.
