The truck is "fly by wire"
You can cut a hole in the floor and jam it to 125% but if the ECU doesn't feel that WOT is ideal for current operating conditions and what it "thinks" you want to do, it's only going to go to 76%
It's a big butterfly and at low RPMs a true WOT could cause a bog or lean condition.

Yep! I do this too with an old phone and a bluetooth adapter. Was using it for years in my last car and also pulled and reset CEL's for many friends and coworkers over the years.

I have the ODB KEY II from some place in the UK, bought it years ago. It's pretty rare I find a vehicle it won't read.

I get this too, it's puzzling. My old car definitely hit 100% throttle when I mashed it to the floor using the same ODB reader, and same phone/app.

    Er, fixt.

Since you have a 2004 you have an electric throttle body, is there a throttle cable to the throttle body or is it all electronic?

Tried to read 22 pages but really couldn't find the answer so here goes. I have an iPhone 5C and would like to keep up with up things going on with my 2011. Not really into the whole tunning on the fly unless to get better gas mileage. What do I need and where can I find it? Thanks for the help in advance.

There was mention a few pages back of an app and dongle that will work with an iphone. That said torque is an android only app so 99% of whats said in here won't apply to your phone.

I believe obdlink has a dongle and app for iPhone. I think it uses WiFi instead of bluetooth.

It does have a throttle cable.
    Makes sense.

I guess the wifi version uses data to run.

I looked the elm 327 up on Amazon. There some reviews that stated it didn't work with iPhone 5 and also a disk came with it about an update and it turns out to be a virus. Anyone else have this problem?

There are about 50 different elm 327 on Amazon. I said Bluetooth but it's actually the wifi version that works with iPhone's. I used it for a week or so and it seemed to interfere with radio reception. Bought an ultra gauge and haven't looked back.

Buy an ODB Key Bluetooth instead. Works like a charm over bluetooth and Torque.

Problem is, your Ultra Gauge can't report transmission temp fluid. I use the Bluetooth adapter on my iPhone and haven't had any issues.

$142 including shipping, but that's just because the Dollar is worth nothing these days. When I bought mine a few years ago it was $92 including shipping.

Oh... I think you meant OBD (OnBoard Diagnostics) and not ODB (Old Dirty Bastard). Hence the picture of ODB I posted. ;)

Er yeah. Working nights anything I post after midnight isn't run by the coherency filter.
