    Well, no such luck.
Still get really weird readings when I use the '10+ formula with "21d9", variable between 13°F and 40°F while I'm driving.
Re-typed the '09 formula and got the same "Equation: 0.0" results.

    I'm at a loss...

Well, I've tried every combination of spaces, no spaces, different math symbols, etc with no success.
21D9 only gives me readings other than zero when I use either A&B or C&D in the formula. But not proper temps.
E&F or G&H give me ZERO.
Thinking maybe whatever brand of ELM bluetooth adapter I bought might have issues?
If only I knew someone else near me with one I could test.

It may be the adapter. Do other sensors pull ok?

Ya, all other sensors seem to be giving accurate readings. I'm going to chat with some guys on the Torque forum this week to try to figure out the problem.

I haven't been on there in a long time but I'll head over and see if I can help. What devices are you using for obd and torque?

Been busy getting ready to go away for work again, haven't had/taken any time to further diagnose.

I'm using a "Mini ELM327" adapter and Torque Pro 1.8.46 on my Android phone.

I've got this working great with a cheapo Amazon bluetooth.

We'll see how long it works, I guess.

Really appreciate the posts for transmission temp PIDs as I never would have been able to figure that out on my own and it's the chief reason I wanted to try this.

Curious if you can get it to display/log gear selection on the auto transmission.
I'd be interested in logging gear and trans temps together.
    Anyone know?

Used these settings and am getting really weird readings. TFT 1 ranging from 0-320 at idle and with a slight rev. TFT2 went from -37 to -34 in about 5 minutes.

OBDLINK MX Bluetooth or the OBDLINK MX WiFi

WIFI works for the IOS devices.

I need to program the temp myself.

Also need to go get the truck weighed in for an accurate weight.

So does the adapter just emit a WiFi signal then? And I read that it updates the gauges a lot quicker? That'd be nice. Maybe I'll get that one instead just for that.

Both of the MX versions have the faster read speeds. You enable them in the app. Also has a low power mode you enable to shut the affair of when you aren't using it. Like stand by mode.

Yes. The WiFi version is WiFi connectivity and the Bluetooth version is Bluetooth.

I need to look at the temps again. My truck had been sitting for 5 hours before I turned it on. Read 85° for the TFT 2. Then the other was what you see above.

    Where's the red theme?

Oh mine has that too but doesn't seem to make a difference when enabled vs disabled. Oh well. It's fast enough. Can't complain for the price. Thought being WiFi vs Bluetooth it might be a faster connection. And I thought WiFi might've been solely for laptop users. So there's really no benefit for me to switch then huh?

Sorry if I missed it the thread somewhere but do ya'll leave your Bluetooth obd plugged in all the time? I have an elm 327 I bought on Amazon 2 or 3 years ago that I use but can't leave it plugged in 24/7 because it stays running even with truck off and will kill my battery.

I leave mine in. I posted a link a few posts back to the exact model I have.

There's a little red led that's illuminated but if that's all that is drawing power I don't see it draining my battery down any time soon.

I do drive my truck almost daily but there's been a 3 or 4 day stretch where I haven't. Heck, there's a blinking security led on the dash that's always on and I doubt that causes anyone any problems.
