Write-Up: Torque APP OBD2 Reader

Mine was about 26 shipped and it says blootoof version, it was the company rklenka or something like that. Only reason i got from them is because they're in TX and I'm in nm, so it should get here faster.

 

Sweet dude! I just got it today!! Freaking awesome only thing isi still need too get the hang of some things, I can't adjust the fuel meter and the torque hp readings are off. It read everything from o2 to volt ntt meter to tranny temp although I haven't gotten the tranny temp gauge to work. But its awesome! Need more help setting the gauges up and stuff, but overall great!!! And for 30 bucks? Can't complain!

Has anyone had any luck using Torque for transmission fluid temps?

 

I tested it in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma V6 Auto tranny. Our trucks do not electronically monitor our transmission temps

 

Mine actually reads tranny temp? It didn't read fuel level though that would be awesome if it did

 

I don't think the fuel level goes through the OBD II port, my ultra gauge doesn't read it either

 

are you serious?? I never got a tranny temp reading when i plugged it in....

Scangauge reads the tranny temps from two places. I have seen the video from other posts and can find it if you like. What I have not been successful at is getting Torque to convert the scanguage code to a usable number. When I put in the conversion for scanguage, i get a number, but it is obvious that the conversion equation is not correct.

See if you can figure out how to read the tranny temps. (off topic, I was a SPY Tech on Bunker Hill and Leyte Gulf)

 

Tomorrow morning I can see if it reads my tranny temp.

Haven't tried yet tbh.

 

There is one it's called dash command and it's 50 freaking bucks, that's apple for ya. 10 times more than the android app, I'm downloading it now though

 

so has anyone compared this with scangauge or ultragauge? which seems to get more data and user friendliness?
