brakes feel like I'm pumping them

    Multiple things can cause the brake rotor to warp... Heavy / emergency braking while hauling a trailor, or with larger tires is usually the catalyst. That said, if you've got bigger tires or haul a trailor then maybe the "overkill" slotted brake rotors are the answer.

    Ever look at a sport bike brake rotor? It's full of holes to help dissipate the heat, and maybe save an ounce or two of unsprung weight. My scoot is light, @800lbs, and all three brake rotors are slotted. I use the rear brake for trail braking while in turns, or practicing low speed maneuvers in parking lots, and after a few sets of pads, rotor is still good.

    With that said, I think when it's time to get new brakes on Bob, I'll go with slotted rotors and probably EBC yellow pads.
