    1996 tacoma 6 cyc 4wd a/t 334,000 miles. code po 758 shift solenoid B electrical came on. cant find info in Hanes manual. slips into 2nd and OD is iffy. Easy fix or dealership? Is this a internal or external part?

    its inside the trans, you would have to drop the pan to replace it, you could test the solenoid resistance through the ecm connector. hows your fluid look/smell?

    Its a messy fix if you have to fix anything on the valve body, and a general pain in the ass.
