Salt spray from the ocean is bad but I think the difference up here with road salt is you can't really wash it off because it's so cold, your truck will just freeze up. If you live somewhere warm, you can still wash your truck every few weeks, up here we have to wait until a 'warm' day to hose everything off. Basically, the salt just eats the trucks up 4 - 5 months a year.

I know what it is, ive used this process for over 20years in the medical Device industry and we mask most of our parts and have never had an issue.

    Example of liquid masking:

If you need a test vehicle I'm not too far down the road and can make the trip up to Asheville easily.

Cool always looking for test vehicles. I will be out if town from the 27th of June until the 9th of July.

Also I am sending out an installation file to everyone who has purchased shortly. Anyone who would like to help me add to it to refine it, or even do an install video that would be excellent and greatly appreciated. Just PM me if interested.

Yep. She's an 8 year old soccer mom wagon that had 20k on it when I bought it 3 years ago. Toyota steel sucks

    Read through the instructions.

I get to skip steps 1-6! Cold Air Intake ftw!

The only issues I found were grammatical (like the line about using liquid penetrant) and it's a 4Runner, not Forerunner

    FJs are 2007-2014
    Not sure about tundra
4Runners should be 2003-2014 because the 5th gens still use the 1GR-FE

Step 11 will cause you to spill coolant, no need to remove the lines, just lean the throttlebody out of the way during install. Last time I replaced a gasket, I hung the throttlebody from the hood catch with a piece of wire to keep it out of the way and supported.

What size star socket for the 2 studs? Can I use my trusty vice grips on the bastards?

    What size metric Allen wrench?

Those are things I wasn't able to figure out yet because I don't have a Toyota available. I think the studs are an E6 torx. You can use a vice grip but I don't recommend it unless you are very careful and you also cover the ports. Guys on the Nissans have done that however the studs have sometimes broken using video grips and there were two or three guys who didn't cover the ports and a piece went bling ding ding ding down into the port. The Allen wrench is a larger size but I don't know the size either. These are a couple details I'm trying to still add to the install directions as well as whether or not the other bolts are 10 millimeter 12 millimeter etc

Ok! Thanks for your effort to get all the info

    I am a Toyota owner, if it ain't a 10mm, it's a 12mm. If it ain't a 12mm, it's a 14mm. If it ain't a 14mm, it's a 17mm. That's our process of elimination, but almost everything is a 10 or 12 in the engine compartment

Lol Right, well I knew that much as my Nissan is the same, but eventually I would like to know exactly which ones are which so I can add it in the appropriate spots in the directions.

First couple should be arriving today!

I do, but unfortunately I am leaving town tomorrow morning at 5am and won't be back until the 9th. I may be able to get it ready and have someone ship it for me. (I have black and silver) Lmk

I would rather wait for you to inspect and package unit rather than rely on someone else. I will watch thread till you get back on 9th then we can talk about the black one

    Too long to list :D
Like highaltitude said, cover those intake runners!

I like a good thick layer of masking tape, but some prefer stuffing towels down the pipe. I would do it as soon as possible in the install :)
