Haven't even installed mine yet. I was waiting for OP to let me know when/if he wanted me to come down for some runs. I've got till mid august then after that I'm out of commission for a while. So if it doesn't happen before then, I may not be able to help. At least not this year.

    Yeah, well...
I'll probably just go ahead and install this weekend if I have time. I keep hearing the reviews and butt dynos and want to experience it for myself :)

Adding to my previous butt dyno, now that I'm back to 33's, I notice a significantly better rate of acceleration with much less hesitation from my engine. I don't mind driving on the 33's anymore!

Actually I am picking up an order on Thursday, so any of the colors. Blue, black, fast red, fast gold, silver, and I can even do green as well I think.

Installed mine today, my phone app must have taken a bad pre-install run but I noticed a difference on the first drive after install. The post-install run was a little out as well, so i'll have to track my ultraguage and calc my mpg on the next fuel-up.

Cruising around flat ground 30-35mph at 950-1000 engine rpms was nice(usually its 1200-1400). Even driving up small gradual hills where I live didn't down-shift or bog out.

HP gains may be very minor or nill, but I have noticed better performance in the low range :woot:

Probably do a highway cruise test later today or tomorrow.

Half silly but half serious question. If one is good, would two be better? Assuming the hood would still close, what do you think would happen? Hemi cudas used to have really long manifold runners but I thought that was for better fuel atomization. Forgot about the torque effect. Hmm ...

More spacers would make the runners longer and would lower the torque curve even more.

This is what you were talking about. That Chrysler Hemi intake manifold produced some serious low end torque.

Those are the ones! They look even more nuts off the car. In pics, the motor is big, the eng compartment is big so you don't really get a sense how big they are.

So.... tooter, you ever try making one as big as can while still being able to close the hood? Everyone uses torque, a few people use horsepower. Just wondering.

I don't have a 4.0 and so have no way of knowing exactly what the hood clearance would be. But I'd guess that you could get away with stacking two spacers and still clear the hood. Why not ask highaltitude if a one inch spacer would work? He'd know for sure as he's the one who makes the half inch 4.0 spacers. The CNC information would be the same with the exception that the Z axis would be twice as deep to cut one inch thick material.

The 2.7 is a totally different setup as the intake manifold is on the side instead of on top. It allows for a really thick spacer that's equal to stacking up four 4.0 spacers.

Two inches is the absolute maximum thickness that fills the available space. Any thicker causes major engine bay clearance issues with the peripherals.

The runners on my 1996 2.4 were also pretty long, and it had really good low end torque. If they were uncurled, they'd be almost as long as the Chrysler's.
