    I was told if i went with 4.10 gears with 33's that my top speed would be 85 mph. Is that true? Thanks

    False , whoever said that was definitely wrong,if you only had three gears yeah that would your top speed

    So basically i would just get the power back as if i was stock and maybe a little better mpg? And my rpm's would just be a little higher on the freeway? thanks

    Your mpg will never be the same as stock. It will just be closer. You don't gain power, just a little of what you lost

    Yep. You get your gearing back close to stock - but you're still pushing more rotating weight, with a bigger contact patch.

    U should kick the person who told you that square in the nutz!!!! 4.10 are perfect with 33's will drive just like it was stock ....4.56's will make it "feel" like it has more power but you would be revving to high at 65mph an would kill ur mpg's

    FWIW, WHen I regeared my Dodge ( I know, different vehicle, etc.), after larger tires, Stock MPG was 12, after the larger tires, and re gear to 4:10s MPG went to 14. RPM's went from 1600 @ 60 mph, to 1850 @ 60. @ 70, I was around 2200 to 2300 rpm.

    4.10's with 33's would make the truck just a tad "over geared" as opposed to stock. MPG should be about the same, and in town, a little better.

    Regearing does not improve mpg, it just makes your odometer accurate again.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    It improved my MPG. On my Dodge, the speedo, and ODO work off the wheel speed sensors, and are unaffected by gearing changes. The only thing I had to re calculate was tire size, and factor that into the millage.

    Edit: To add, every gas vehicle I have re geard, has shown an improvement in MPG, if larger tires were also installed.

    so, u'd just be at a higher rpm to maintain speed? i currently run very close to 3k RPM doing 80MPH. so if i geared to 4.10's, i'd be running higher rpm's at same 80MPH -is this correct?

    With 33" tires, a manual tranny in 6th gear, and 4.10 gears, my calculations of a 70 mph speed give an RPM of about 2500.
