i bought the Westin universal bed rails 54" for my Toyota Tacoma crew cab 2012. the measure of the bed rails is perfect but the problem is the stake pokets holes in where i have to insert the plates underneath and grab them with the screws attaching them to the rail are obstructed with part of the bed itself at least the ones on the far end there is no space at all. The bed is made of a hard fiber glass or some type of hard back plastic i was drilling an opening so i can insert the plates throughout there and place them underneath but i stopped and want to ask for advise here first if thats the way or if there is another way to do it. i include westin bed rail installation instructions as attachment so you have an idea what I'm talking about. Any suggestion or advice is greatly appreciated.

Might have more luck posting in the 2nd Gen forum as opposed to the performance and tuning forum.

Sorry I have been gone for a while, I Instaled it , what I did was using a multifunction tool, cut the fiberglass part of the bed that is blocking the space , using a blade with small teeth is very easy and cut right through. If you don't have one you can get one cheap in After removing that is ready to install. I'll post some pics later on today. :D
