Windows down in Summer or A/C on?

So was just curious what everyone thought about this. Of course using the A/C uses more power, but with the windows down it hurts your aerodynamics. So which do you prefer and is it really much difference between the two for fuel mileage?

i’m windows down unless i’m on interstate. if i’m on interstate some time i leave them down but most time up and A/C on.

if it's above 65 degrees windows are always down. no exceptions, period. ive been like that since i was 16. in the year and a half ive had my taco i have honestly probably ran the A/C less than 2 hours. and thats only when my sister or gf rides with me. . . .i always have a tan left arm all the way up to where the wind bunches the shirt up when i drive and a regular farmers tan on the right by the end of the summer haha.

 

Usually anything above 80 I'll use the A/C cause might as well use it if you got it right? But if its not that hot out, windows down for sure.

 

It's more fuel efficient to keep the windows up and run the A/C than run with the windows down and no A/C. Or go big baller like I do and roll windows down and A/C on.

Here, in phoenix, people with their windows down have the right of way in the summer. Otherwise you WANT to run the A/c.

I think it was the mythbusters or someone else did a wind tunnel test. Windows down does not mess with fuel mileage until you reach 45mph, then it is better to run the A/c.

 

I have allergies so I use the A/C because it has a filter.

 

Windows down all the time. DC means that I can put the front window down all the way and rear window half-way down and my head doesn't get blown around and after market radio means no wind noise. I love the fresh air so even in the winter my widow is cracked 5-6 inches to let the air in.

 

windows down most of the time. the summers get hot here in nc and sometimes a/c is a must.

 

If I'm going to break 50 mph, it's A/C. If not, then it's windows.

All about power/Aerodynamics.

Also... ugh, wind noise.

 

oh also my left arm is always a bit darker than my right. from hanging it out window or resting it on the door. i much rather have the fresh air than A/C cooled air.

 

During a Texas summer, my a/c is 4 by 75.

i have to float around the pool to kit read of it some times it get so bad. lol i spend allot of time in the pool anyways. or cleaning it.

I wasn't aware of the fact that my windows roll down, fuck a bunch wind that's feels like a air dryer. I run AC "almost" year round.

 

What I like is to drive with the windows down and the AC on. It's the best of both worlds. Fresh air with a cool breeze.
