Im debating whether or not to get a magnaflow cat exhaust. How hard is the install and how does it sound? Thanks

just get the muffler you want and save your money on the piping. a 2.25" offset in/center outlet of any length/width will fit well. Shop may have to weld in some piping depending on length, shorter the louder...

Save the cash and just get a muffler, then take it to get welded on. I see your in Temple, I took mine to Mikes on 1st street. They did a pretty decent job and the price was what you would pay anywhere else in our area so you won't get gouged or anything. Paid 83 for magnaflow and 60 for the install.

If you get the full Magnaflow its going to cost you around $518 everywere you look...Magnaflow is a company that regulates the prices of there products...Kinda like Glock in the gun world.

this ^^^. The piping is just shiny and the stock stuff is mandrel bent also. Just get the muffler and a nice tip. Also i believe the catback is 3" at the outlet which is too large for our trucks unless you have forced induction. The stock 2.25" size keeps the low end power and mpg. Some 2.5" piping won't hurt at all, but the 3" is just overkill

Like everyone says save ur cash and have a shop weld it on
I had a shop weld the magnaflow in with new pipe from where the cats go together and dual turn down
    cost 200 bucks
