Cold air intake for 2012 2.7L

I put 235/75/15 tires on my 4 cylinder upgrading from the stock 215/70/15s and now I am having some power loss. The truck struggles when going over 70mph. Would a cold air intake help this problem and improve gas mileage? If so, what is a good one for a 2012?

There is an ongoing debate whether or not a CAI makes any difference at all. The only difference for sure would be the sound, but arguably a secondary filter delete and aftermarket drop in filter should yield the same power gains as a CAI.

the stock intake draws air from lower in the fenderwell, while the CAI doesn't; it draws it from the engine bay.

there are a few threads on this.

all of these intake mods will work as toyota has not changed the 2TR at all since it came out.

An intake is going to make noise. Removing the secondary filter and adding a AFE drop in is a popular mod for the 4 bangers. ^^^Like he said.

Don't expect tire burning power unless you add a supercharger.
