    With all that extra stuff on the truck like the brush guard lift and tires will add extra weight to the truck, and if your engine has no upgrades to it then it will have to work harder to get going with extra weight added to the truck. I suggest getting a K&N CAI, i have one and i have seen mileage improvement from when my truck had a stock engine. Also my dad does this when we travel, when you travel put in 93 octane because 93 octane gives more boost to the engine so when your on the highway and need to pass your engine will get the extra boost that it needs from the 93 octane gas

    But you didn't DRIVE 67mph for 18 hours. During Gas stops, food stops and bathroom breaks your speed is 0MPH and I'm sure you had slower traffic at points unless you started and ended your trip at a highway ramp. How fast were you actually driving? If you were doing 80+ MPH wherever you had room to do it 12.5 MPG is probably about right. Another consideration is weather. Driving into a 10 MPH headwind hurts your mileage almost as much as actually driving 10 mph faster. In every day driving it averages out but on a long one way trip it would make a significant difference.

    I checked my second tank of fuel today and got about 18.5 which is much better than the 12 or so I got in the first tank(thank goodness). I did about 1/2 city driving and 1/2 highway driving trying to stay between 70-75

    Jason, we have close to the same stuff on out trucks, my scangauge averages 16.4 on the highway. I had the wind pushing me home after christmas and got 17:D

    dude I dont understand how you can only be getting 12.5. the major diff. i can think of is my intake and exhaust is TRD stuff. Is yours stock?

    Edit: oh yea and a throttle body paper weight!

    I'm sure it had to do with all the stuff I had in the bed, plus the cold weather. I'm gonna recheck when I fill up in a couple of days now that I don't have a shit ton of stuff I'm hauling around...
