    Yes In tacoma's or 6cyl's in general. 12v and 24v cummins are 6cyl's and its nothing to get over 1000hp out of one.

    My brother in law is building a 292 6cylinder to put in a pulling truck and is going to take it over 500hp.

    caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    sorry for answering for you OP.
    but hes looking for any 6 cylinder to put in a race truck (naturally aspirated). not diesel id assume unless hes going to try something different... lol

    VQ37's are at 330hp now arnt they? But I bet you want more power than that, the cost of the swap wouldnt be worth it eithr for just that much. Only one I could think of off the top of my head w/o research

    If you completely run through a Tacoma V6, what could you get from the stock block with better tuning and higher performance parts, N/A of course?

    Horsepower doesn't magically happen. You need either more displacement, higher revs or direct gasoline injection.

    sorry for the late reply im workin. yes Im putting it into a race truck and i do not want to do a diesel swap wouldnt be what im looking for. I dont mind doing internal work but I want it to get 400+ its the difference of racing 7200 or racing 1450. 2 way different classes. I think i have to stay in the toyota family too. so Toyota, Lexus, Scion etc...

    No kidding... but tuning, a better fuel map, higher compression, better breathing will make horsepower. Going through the entire engine and replacing the heavy pulleys and flywheel with lighter replacements will help the engine turn easier allowing more power to be put to the ground.

    im not looking for a magical 400+ horsepower 6cyl im looking for a good base to start from to build it.
