Yes they know and long tubes are obvious. Removal of any smog equipment is a fail is they catch it.

Not worth it IMO. I would rather have shorties for the low and mid range power.

A Y pipe would eliminate the rear cats.

So you are worried about not feeling the gains when the intake and exhaust didn't really do too much?

Well good luck. One guy that has everything said he wished he just went with a blower.

You get a longer warranty on the blower if the dealer installs it. The blower itself doesn't void the truck's warranty.

i know that but its like close to $4,000. and i just bought this truck. dropping another 4k in it, gives me a blah side about it haha. but thanks for the info. i dont think ill mess with the cats then. (just read it gets LOUD if cats are removed) and i dont like rasp.

I understand thr tubes also create a lot of extra heat. Were you going to spray them with a heat resistant coating?

No more heat than the stock manifolds.

You can always do like i did on my girl's truck. We installed JBA shorties. Had V-band flanges added to them, so that we could easily swap the cats out for "test pipes". It will cost you more, but will give you mkre flexibility as well.

Spraying them with coating or wrapping them will void your warranty with Doug Thorley.

or just live in a county that doesn't have emissions testing like me. I have a 2012 and im running DTLH URD 4x4 y-pipe, and URD/Magnaflow 3 inch exhaust. Waiting for aFe/TRD intake.

Or just have your truck registered in one that doesn't have it. Easy as that.
