shorties and a y pipe would pretty much be a risk too?

I understand thr tubes also create a lot of extra heat. Were you going to spray them with a heat resistant coating?

You can always do like i did on my girl's truck. We installed JBA shorties. Had V-band flanges added to them, so that we could easily swap the cats out for "test pipes". It will cost you more, but will give you mkre flexibility as well.

Spraying them with coating or wrapping them will void your warranty with Doug Thorley.

They are already coated from Doug Thorley themselves. Might not be the best ceramic coating, but still coated.

or just live in a county that doesn't have emissions testing like me. I have a 2012 and im running DTLH URD 4x4 y-pipe, and URD/Magnaflow 3 inch exhaust. Waiting for aFe/TRD intake.

Or just have your truck registered in one that doesn't have it. Easy as that.
