Home made intake system (need to get the right system), Rancho rear shocks, kyb front struts, 3 inch lift, brushguard, home made grille, Dual led 6.5" speakers, 12" JL Audio sub.
Running 33/12.50/15's on my 2000 tacoma v6 stock gears gets about 300 miles a tank

315/70/17 on 410s. Won't know what I'm getting till next week. This past month I've tried 373 and 488. My tires didn't like either

I'm putting 315 70 17 with stock gearing on a 2016 tomorrow with a 6 inch lift hoping I don't cut my mileage in half. If I get 15 to 18 I'll be happy. Will probably regear but they don't make them for the 16's yet!

So 4.88 the way to go with 35's? Sounds like mpg's not bad. But I have a 3rd gen, with 6 spd tranny. Don't know if that will hurt or help. I know there is no gears for it quite yet so will have to wait for now.

    265/75/16 4.56 @ 36/34 psi 16 hwy
    265/75/16 4.56 @ 50/50 psi 18 hwy

Cooper AT/3 E load... did chalk test & reduced to 36 front & 34 rear... worse mileage.
Did the regear to (hopefully) help with towing a small trailer out west in mountains...
Got the wider tires for better float on sand... seems better, but not a tremendous difference...

When I went wider I also went bigger...

Before any changes 245/75/16 (stock tires) & stock diff's @ 36/34 psi got 20 hwy / 19 hwy equivalent. Before new larger tires my speedo was approx. 5% faster than what GPS would show (i.e. adjusting mpg by 5% = 19 vs 20). With the new tires the speedo & GPS are exactly same.

p.s. .with just new tires mileage at 36/34 hwy dropped from 19* to approx. 17.5... after regear dropped down to 16 hwy

Sort of a thread revival, but looking into benefits of regear.

    For now...

    265/70/17 @ 16-17mpg w/ 3.73 gears

2011 DCSB Sport V6 - ARB bumper, AllPro IFS skid and Relentless sliders. That's the bulk of my weight.

Was getting a consistent 20.5-22 mpg w/ 265/65/17 and no armor.
