2010 Tacoma Idle Question

First I want to start off saying that I am new to the Tacoma brand and this is, for me personally, my first truck. It's a 2010 Prerunner TDR Sport, SR5. So far I love everything about about it, I just have a question/concern about the idle. When in park and starting the car the truck idles right around 1200rpms-1400rpms. Being new to the Tacoma this may be how they are and just something I will have to get used to, but it feels like every time I am sitting at a red light my truck wants to move, and does as soon as I let off the break. I understand this is a normal process, but it seems to move...faster. This might have something to do with me transferring from a manual car to an automatic truck, but before I go trying to fix it I just wanted to get your thoughts, thanks.
