Well having this installed my truck is running lean which means I'm gettin more air an I already have it tuned for the cold air intake so I'm flowing more so even with the current design it's flowing more a little more of a tweak it will b nasty

I'm late into this thread. But I'd be interested to see what kind of low end grunt that can be had. I'm not interested in top end power for a truck that will never see 6k rpm.

perhaps, although MAF position in regards to flow boundary layer is more correct, you may have freed up resistance in the tract , however not knowing where the velocities are in relation to amount of air may be a bigger issue.

I have to say it is unique to attempt to tackle this actually and would love to see some numbers.

Well, actually, a dyno with your truck the way it is, while listing all of the additional mods, would still be quite helpful. Since I have coalesced dynos with all sorts of mods. It would be fairly easy to see where this intake on N/A trim stack up. And we would have a relative idea of its gains. :)

i want to know the numbers solely based off of the performance of the manifold. not gettin a turbo any time soon. the turbo could throw off the improvement of the manifold. am i right?

then ask the dude who built it to pitch in

No it's not gonna affect it because it will have pressure bein pushed in it. I know the custom intake is better for a turbo setup because it gets in the runners equally rather than the dual runner high/low on the stock intake

Trust me, that was the plan. And still is, but will be a little later than expected. I gave the components to the fabricator to make this and other style intake manifolds for the 1GR. We were going to test it out a while ago. But it was kind of put on the back burner. Eben if Doublld does decide to get a dyno, I still plan on doing before and after dynos myself. N/A and turbo.
