I want to upgrade mt stock muffler but I dont want anything loud, just something with a little more flow and maybe a slight sound. Anybody have experience with Flowtech Raptor Turbo Mufflers?

Turns out my buddy has one of these on his Tacoma. I'm gonna meet up with him soon and see how it sounds. Anybody have any thoughts on these mufflers?

Been a while but I got around to ordering the raptor turbo muffler. It was only $28 shipped from summit, if it sounds good it's a steal. I plan on installing it soon but have a couple thoughts. Being that it's a turbo muffler and less restrictive than stock it will have less back pressure, will that have any negative effects on performance? And being that it's shorter than the stock muffler I was thinking about a turn down after the axle. Any thoughts?

im sure it will be less restrictive than the factory casket, however, assuming you still have stock headers/y-pipe, you still have 4 cats in the way that provide plenty of BP. Any amount lost wont be enough to notice im sure.

As to tailpipe location, totally up to you, some dump before the axle, some let it go up and over then dump, purely your opinion of what you like best

Thanks for the input. It makes sense the stock manifolds and cats will provide back pressure, and yes mine Is all stock. I figured throwing a turbo muffler would not change things too drastically, I was worried about adding onto that by cutting the pipe short with a turn down. Sound like I'll be ok though. I like the idea of dumping after the axle so I'll start with that and see how it goes.
