    Just from looking at the stock tube, I'm not sure how a CAI would make a difference on these trucks. Unless the ID is very small and restrictive, it should perform the same as a CAI. On the other hand, if/when TRD comes out with one for the 2013 models, I'll get it. Previous TRD CAIs look good and add a nice flair to the engine bay.

    The flex tube causes a lot of turbulence and the 2 filters cause more restriction

    mandrel bent exhaust vs crush bent...it works the exact same way...yes there is turbulence in the manifold and tb..but why add to it? and how would there be dirty air? and after having both setups on my truck there is a noticeable difference between the 2

    youre right the exhaust does not have anything to do with it BUT if you read the post correctly you would see that. its the same science behind it. smooth bends vs flex tube ...and quality aftermarket filters do not let in more dirt.they get higher flow by materials used...now seeing how ive had both setups it definitely does make a difference in performance. true i cant give you an exact number.

    so even though the airaid website has a bunch of dyno results on there homepage and list the filter specs (as far as microns passing through it) I still dont know what im talking about?....derp?...must be a california thing

    Oh geez. We're back to arguing about micron-sized particles again? Just like in the discussion about the oil filters, the particles that slip through the filter are too small to matter. Yes, the fibers of the filter have larger gaps between the weave, but that is the point, isn't it? That's why you oil them.

    Whippersnapper, what do you do for a living? I bet you're some type of engineer.

    Im assuming you do? I believe YOU were the one that said " If the intake is made for a 12 it will work on a 13."...guess what it didnt fit...soooo...just proving a point too
