got a sweet deal on a 3" exhaust cat back system what are the pros and cons of a 3" system on our trucks/

Probably some loss on low end. It would flow really well with boost or at the top of the RPM range.

There is no backpressure in an exhaust. That would reduce power.

Big exhaust will cause loss of SCAVENGING not backpressure as most people are led to believe.

You will lose some low end power, you might pick up a tiny bit on top. Not really good on a daily driver unless you rev the shit out of it.

There is a point where a larger size hurts instead of helps. Hot air flows faster, and with a larger pipe, it won't stay hot down the legnth of exhaust. Cooler exhaust=less scavenging(vaccum pulled on one cylinder, caused by previous exhaust pulse)

Our engines are tuned for a stock exhaust and intake.
