Been looking around for a professional cab mount chop to clear my 285/70/17s. The only place I've found so far is 4wheelparts and they want $300. That would include the chop and welding a plate in place of the chop. Decent price?

So hard hard of a job is this? Worth $300 for the fabrication?

Just buy some plates and find a buddy with a cutting wheel and a welder. It's not hard. It might take about 1.5 hrs for both sides. Then a little paint so it doesn't rust.

Ordered the BAMF plates. Anyone know of a welder in the Indianapolis area?
