Thanks. Its pretty much a rip off of the URD system, but what I feel is better fitment. I ordered the Denso MAF flange from Treadstone today, so it shouldnt be long before its completely welded up.

Havent ran it on the truck, as it is still lacking the MAF. 3" is pretty standard for intake tubes, and the current housing for the MAF is 3".

Yeah will do. I might pickup a URD MAF calibrator and do a before and after dyno run. We'll see.

Nice. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but ended up buying the URD one because i barley weld and didn't want to chance it.

great idea and it looks cool....... but that is wide open to all the water spray while driving in the rain...... how can you prevent it sucking water in to the engine? just an observation.

I am just wonering how much additional work it would be to mount something like this and actually use the hood scewp ?
All you would need is a force motor thats tied into the throttle position sensor circuit and a butterfly mechanism mounted to the hood skewp .
That would look soooo sweet :D
Food for thought or am I out to lunch ?

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
Now all you have to do is wrap a piece of sheet metal around the intake and add a hose fitting from your A/C on a 3 way switch and you will be a CAI master.

Water will evaporate in the tube(if it makes it that far) before it even touches the throttlebody.
