forgive my oldness but I understand you to say "it sounds great from outside, but I cant hear it in the cab"...to me you have the perfect situation unless you prefer to impress yourself more than others?. Trust me-even at your age the constant drone inside the cab will eventually drive ya nuts.

Are you talking straight pipe as in no muffler? I'm talking about a muffler then about 3" of pipe instead of the about 2' of pipe you have right now. And it won't rust any faster with a turndown versus without a turndown.

You never said what length it was.

I have a 14". It's pretty damn loud. If it wasn't piped out all the way it would drive me nuts.

If it's longer than the 14" it'll be quieter. Closer to stock, but not.

CAI are a waste of money on the 3.4l. They don't do anything. The stock intake is a CAI. technically any aftermarket "CAI" is worse since they all draw in air from the bay.

I run the brute force CAI. It's a dry filter and hasn't thrown a code yet

A few bolt on "performance" parts makes you require new shorts? Interesting.

edit: and i had it put on straight out the back and the shits on crooked!

well good thing about having the magnaflow cat-back is you can replace just the muffler with anything louder that fits. talk to the guys at magnaflow and see what they got. honestly magnaflow has always been on the top of my list as far as sound though. of course you could always just sell the cat back and go straight pipe too lol. just not mind the o2 sensor lights going off...

Ah, I misinterpreted your meaning. My bad

EDIT: Yeah I imagine once you start getting around the "brown" noise, you would need to change your britches haha
